Job summary

LVI Associates in Los Angeles is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join its growing fire and life safety practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on landmark projects across commercial, healthcare, government, institutional, and mixed-use sectors while collaborating with architects, developers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The Fire Protection Engineer will perform code consulting, dynamic egress modeling, and develop fire protection calculations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Fire Protection Engineering experience.
• Experience communicating technical findings to clients and design teams.
• Experience with FDS, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems and life safety analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing fire and life safety code consulting and compliance reviews.
• Conducting dynamic egress modeling and evacuation analysis.
• Developing structural fire engineering calculations.
• Supporting performance-based fire protection design strategies.
