Job summary

The Fire Protection Engineer at Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. will provide fire protection engineering support for federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

The candidate will serve as the subject matter expert for fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards throughout design reviews, inspections, and testing. This on-site role requires a PE license, five years of experience in fire protection engineering, and ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited college.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Fire Protection Engineering experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UFC 3-600-01, NFPA standards, and fire/life safety requirements.
• US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other federal project experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of fire protection requirements related to UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure fire protection features of work.
• Perform reviews, inspections, and acceptance testing of fire protection systems.
• Prepare technical reports identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on facility design and fire protection systems.
