Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will work independently on complex projects and lead teams through all project phases. Your role includes developing and growing our fire protection engineering group, utilizing up-to-date tools and innovations, and ensuring client satisfaction through efficient project execution.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex projects.
• Conduct building/fire/life safety code reviews and analyses.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
• Engage in design development using sketches, models, diagrams, etc.
• Lead project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Participate in client meetings, value analysis, and cost estimation.
• Supervise staff, providing guidance and mentoring.
• Ensure quality assurance and control on projects.
• Develop standards and specifications for fire engineering.
• Define project scope, budget, and approach.
• Assist in business development activities.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Knowledge of building codes, NFPA standards, and UFC (preferred).
• Strong understanding of fire suppression and alarm systems.
• Ability to review work for accuracy and manage time effectively.
• Collaborative skills for internal and external project teams.
• Excellent technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD; CFD modeling experience (preferred).

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience; Federal project experience preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE) preferred.
