Your Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will work independently on large, complex projects and lead teams through all project phases. Your responsibilities include developing and growing our fire protection group with up-to-date tools, technical expertise, and operating procedures to ensure client satisfaction and timely delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large, complex projects.
  • Conduct building, fire, and life safety code reviews and analyses.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
  • Engage in design development using sketches, models, diagrams, etc.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings, value analysis, and cost estimating.
  • Supervise staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control on projects.
  • Develop standards and specifications for fire engineering.
  • Define project scope, budget, and approach.
  • Assist in business development activities.
  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Knowledge of building codes, NFPA standards, and UFC (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of fire suppression and alarm systems.
  • Ability to review work for accuracy and manage time effectively.
  • Experience working in team settings with clients.
  • Excellent technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD; CFD modeling software (preferred).
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of responsible experience; Federal project experience preferred.
  • PE license and passing the fire protection exam required.
Additional Information

This role may involve fieldwork and exposure to outdoor elements. The description is not exhaustive; duties may change as needed.

Location

Offices in Burlington, MA; Stamford, CT; Baltimore, MD; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL, or remote across the US. West Coast is a strategic growth area.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $113,300 - $169,800 (MN, NYC/NY); $106,100 - $159,100 (CO, HI, MD, IL). Benefits include health plans, 401(k), stock purchase, paid leave, and more.
