Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Irving, Texas seeks a Principal Specialist in Fire Protection and Emergency Management to strengthen emergency preparedness and incident response across our generation fleet. You will lead drills, coordinate with first responders, and advance fire protection programs tied to NFPA, OSHA, and IFC standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency incident response and emergency preparedness.
• Experience supporting fire protection programs and combustible dust controls.
• Familiarity with NFPA, OSHA, and IFC standards as applicable to site operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support fleetwide emergency preparedness and incident response readiness.
• Assist with development and improvement of site emergency response plans and drills.
• Coordinate with first responders, AHJs, and emergency management organizations.
• Support fire protection program evaluations across diverse generation assets (coal, gas, solar, BESS).
• Identify gaps and drive corrective actions to mitigate fire and explosion risks.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Security and EHS teams.
