Luminant Generation Company LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a System Protection Engineer to support protection systems across the generation fleet. The role involves independent task execution, complex issue analysis, and coordination of protection projects with internal teams and plants.

Primary duties include developing design basis, setting changes, and ensuring compliance with NEC and NERC PRC standards. Familiarity with SEL microprocessor relays and distribution equipment is preferred.

Qualificações

• Extensive knowledge of power plant equipment protection techniques and standards.
• Experience with protective relaying and protection system design.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical engineering issues and present solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and execute tasks to meet objectives for generation fleet protection.
• Lead interpretation and analysis of complex protection issues and project coordination.
• Prepare reports and recommendations to resolve protection-related challenges.
• Provide guidance to Protection & Control technicians and plants.
• Maintain compliance with NEC and NERC standards PRC-004 to PRC-027.
