Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; plus one year of fire code enforcement and origin and cause fire investigations as lead investigator.
• Associate’s degree in Fire Science, Fire Investigation, Construction Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews plans and specifications for compliance with fire and life safety codes.
• Conducts fire and life safety inspections and follow-up inspections.
• Assists field inspectors and coordinates activities with the Fire Marshal.
• Manages juvenile diversion program for arson-related cases.
• Performs standby duty and emergency call-out as required.
