Job summary

HCI Systems, Inc in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to service, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems. You will respond to scheduled and emergency service requests, program systems, read blueprints, and interact with customers on site.

A valid driver’s license and 2+ years in the fire alarm/low voltage field are required; NICET certification is preferred or obtainable within one year. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage industry.
• Proficient with industry equipment including MS Office.
• Must have excellent communication skills and professionalism.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to scheduled and emergency service requests and repair/replace system equipment.
• Program fire alarm systems or low voltage systems like access control or CCTV.
• Resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives.
• Interact with contractors and building owners.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Assist customers on site with questions promptly.
• Communicate project status to management.
• Complete company paperwork as required.
• NICET or CA Certification preferred or to be obtained within 1 year.
• Experience with Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, Gamewell/FCI preferred.
