Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician in Virginia Beach to service, test, and install fire alarm systems at client sites.

You will perform system installations, testing, and programming, ensuring safe operation and regulatory compliance. The role requires a minimum of five years' experience, NICET Fire Alarm certification (level 1 or higher; level 2 preferred), and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience with fire alarm systems.
• NICET Fire Alarm Level 1 or higher; Level 2 preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

We are seeking experienced NICET Certified Fire Alarm Technicians to join our team

Job Responsibilities

As a Fire Alarm Service Technician, you will be responsible for service, testing, and Installation of fire alarm systems and devices.

Additional responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Technician include:

• Install and basic programming of fire alarm systems and devices
• Inspection of fire alarm and related systems
• Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
• Troubleshoot and repair alarm system malfunctions
• Maintain accurate records of service calls and completed work
• Excellent customer service

Job Requirements

To qualify for the Fire Alarm Technician position, you must have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with fire alarm systems.

Additional requirements of the Fire Alarm Technician Position include:

• NICET Certification Fire Alarm Level 1 or higher required level 2 preferred
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 72 requirements and electrical codes
• Ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with computer skills, MS Excel, Email
• Strong customer service skills and communications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check
