Qualifications

• Valid Maryland State Journeyperson Electrician License is required.

• Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire alarm codes is necessary.
• Ability to read and interpret fire alarm blueprints.
• Experience with fire alarm systems programming.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in fire alarm systems are necessary.
• Leadership skills for task delegation and mentoring are needed.
• Valid driver's license with clean record is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Stay updated with NFPA 72 and NEC codes relevant to fire alarms.
• Review fire alarm plans and assign duties to team members.
• Supervise job site activities, including quality control.
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations for project completions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure efficient workflows.
• Program and maintain alarm systems during service calls.
• Address fire alarm failures and manage emergency responses.
• Oversee inspections and rectify noted deficiencies.
• Handle inventory management effectively on-site.
• Build strong client and vendor relationships.
• Train apprentices in fire alarm tasks and best practices.
• Comply with safety policies and applicable codes.
