Job summary

RCM Fire is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Technician to install and upgrade fire alarm systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites in California. You’ll apply in‑depth knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and IBC while ensuring code compliance and system reliability.

The role requires 3–5 years of field experience, California Blue Card certification, reading schematics, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience installing/maintaining fire alarm systems.
• California State Fire Alarm certification (Blue Card) required.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Capable of climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair fire alarm systems across sites.
• Upgrade outdated systems with new technology.
• Communicate daily status updates to the Department Superintendent.
• Program electronic components of fire alarm systems as delegated.
• Collaborate with contractors and inspectors to ensure code compliance.
