Fortis Fire & Safety’s National Accounts team is seeking skilled Fire Alarm Technicians to install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm and life safety systems on a high-profile, large-scale program. Travel within Florida may be required; this is a demanding, fast-paced role for technicians who take pride in safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on experience as a Fire Alarm Technician (not entry-level)
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and Florida life safety codes
• Experience with major fire alarm platforms (Notifier, Silent Knight, EST, Fire-Lite)
• State of Florida licensure/certification required or ability to obtain
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel and meet driving eligibility requirements
• Willingness to work extended hours as project demands require
• Excellent attention to detail and safety compliance

Responsibilities

• Install, program, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems per NFPA 72 and local codes
• Troubleshoot and repair system deficiencies
• Perform scheduled inspections and functional testing
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Coordinate with project managers and AHJs as needed
• Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation
• Travel to job sites across assigned areas as required
