Job summary

Commercial Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician to support our Bay Area service team. You will service, inspect, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, perform programming and repairs, and handle on-site installations as needed.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of fire alarm experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read blueprints and submittals. A valid driver’s license and strong customer service skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire alarm experience.
• Experience with CCTV, intrusion systems, and access control.
• Able to read blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Familiar with test equipment and commissioning devices.
• Physically capable of lifting 50–70 lbs.
• Able to work ladders, scaffolding, and up to 40 ft.
• Willing to work weekends when required.
• Strong customer service and organized work approach.
• Maintain truck inventory and safety compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment background check.
• Fire Alarm License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to prescribed standards.
• On-site emergency troubleshooting.
• Programming and repairs of customer fire alarm systems.
• Identifying code and non-conformance issues.
• Preparing accurate service tickets and reports.
• Installing fire alarm systems as needed.
