Job summary
Viking Automatic Sprinkler Company in Madison Heights, MI is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Service Technician to service, diagnose, and repair fire alarm systems on a variety of projects. You will program, commission, and replace components while ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and you will communicate clearly with clients and staff.
The role requires 2+ years in fire alarm service; 3+ years preferred; HS diploma; valid FAST test within 6 months.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to pass Michigan FAST test within 6 months of employment.
- Minimum 2+ years of Fire Alarm Service experience required.
- 3+ years of Fire Alarm Service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Service, troubleshooting, and resolving existing fire alarm system issues.
- Program and commission new fire alarm system installations.
- Repair electronic components using test equipment and replacement parts.
- Ensure systems comply with electrical and fire codes.
- Explain and demonstrate system function to end users.
- Maintain excellent customer service and communicate with staff and clients.
- Perform administrative duties including daily service acknowledgements and safety documentation.
