Job summary
Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Fire Alarm Test & Inspect Senior Technician to independently perform complex inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems. You will document findings, interpret blueprints, and provide guidance to junior staff while ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 5+ years in the field, and at least 3 years programming commercial fire alarm systems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in fire and life safety industry as a technician.
- Minimum 3 years programming commercial fire alarm systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local codes.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform inspections, testing, and advanced troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
- Accurately document inspection, testing, and deficiency reports.
- Diagnose system issues and perform repairs or recommend corrective actions.
- Interpret blueprints, system designs, and technical specifications.
- Provide guidance and training to Apprentices and Technicians as needed.
- Travel to job sites as required.
