Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Install Lead Technician to supervise and perform installation work for fire alarm systems. You will lead projects, interpret drawings, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in fire and life safety, with 3+ years in lead roles. NICET II+ preferred. Expect travel to job sites and collaboration with project managers and contractors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician or above.
• At least 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and codes.
• NICET Level II or above preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute fire alarm system installations in accordance with plans and codes.
• Supervise and coordinate daily job site activities for technicians and apprentices.
• Manage projects or multiple smaller jobs simultaneously.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of systems.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete installations.
• Ensure work complies with safety standards and company policies.
• Provide leadership, training, and support to team members on sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and quality of work; maintain records.
