Senior FIPS 140 Security Engineer - REMOTE

Qualifications Needed:

• Knowledge of FIPS 140 requirements
• Understanding of cryptographic algorithms, key exchange, hashing, PKI, and random number generators
• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java
• Ability to interpret security standards and apply them to products
• Familiarity with security protocols like SSH, IPsec, TLS
• Experience in testing environments, testing procedures, and technical reporting
• CVP Certified Tester
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with VHDL and Verilog
• Debugging skills (GDB, WinDBG, Visual Studio)
• Entropy source analysis
• Knowledge of OpenSSL/OpenPGP
• Penetration testing and vulnerability analysis
• Security principles, certifications (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA), and familiarity with Active Directory/Linux
• Experience with hardware tools and protocols like X.509, OCSP, CDP
• Network setup and routing knowledge

Educational & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years of relevant experience.

Position Details:

• Salary Range: $68.95 - $73.95 per hour
