SelectQuote, Inc. in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a Software Engineer IV to lead a team of engineers developing software products with high availability, performance, and security.

You will design components used across the organization, create architecture diagrams, and mentor junior engineers. Ultimately you’ll uphold product quality standards, contribute to the technical roadmap, and drive adoption of new tools and technologies in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8 years of relevant work experience required.
• Extensive experience in front end technology (React).
• Extensive experience in object-oriented programming (C#).
• Extensive experience in cloud native design and development (AWS).
• Extensive experience in containerization (Docker).
• Extensive experience in CI/CD tools and software architecture principles.
• Experience with security frameworks for authentication and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Independently write clean, well-documented and maintainable code.
• Conduct unit, integration and performance testing to ensure quality.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor team members.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues.
• Lead technical evaluations and tool selection.
• Architect and lead the technical roadmap across initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to define requirements and estimate work.
• Maintain quality and change control standards.
