Job summary

Edward Jones seeks a Senior Digital Product Owner (FinOps) to shape and mature the FinOps product, partnering with technology, engineering, product, and finance leaders to drive financial accountability, cost transparency, and data-driven decisions across cloud, AI, and infra services.

This role requires strategic thinking, stakeholder partnership, and the ability to translate complex usage data into actionable insights; strong emphasis on governance, forecasting, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FinOps, technology finance, cloud cost management, or related fields, including FinOps Framework (Inform, Optimize, Operate).
• Experience defining priorities, managing backlogs, gathering requirements in an Agile, SAFE, or product-centric environment; cloud cost optimization & showback/chargeback.
• Strong analytical skills translating financial/usage data into actionable insights and executive reporting.
• Experience with Power BI, Excel, or similar reporting tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technology, engineering, product, and finance teams.
• Preferred: FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or FinOps Certified Professional (FCP); Azure or other cloud platforms; TBM and CSDM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define and prioritize the FinOps capability roadmap for cost transparency and investment decisions.
• Lead FinOps capabilities across Inform, Optimize, Operate with governance, forecasting, and cost accountability.
• Develop executive reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics for leadership.
• Track business impact and value realization of FinOps initiatives; manage cloud commitments and savings plans.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions and drive adoption of financial management best practices.
• Support governance activities and financial planning across cloud, AI, and infrastructure services.
