Job summary

The RealReal, Secaucus, NJ, seeks a Fine Jewelry & Watch Specialist to authenticate luxury jewelry and verify diamonds and colored stones using GIA techniques. You will inspect consignments, research market values, and set pricing with guidance from senior teams in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in fine jewelry or watch experience, with diamonds expertise and optional GIA coursework. Strong data entry and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of fine jewelry experience and/or watch experience.
• Experience with Diamonds required (selling, grading, pricing).
• GIA coursework may be preferred (Diamond and Diamond Grading).
• Experience with colored stones preferred.
• Appraisal experience preferred.
• Good vision and color perception; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Authenticate luxury fine jewelry items in low or high risk categories.
• Identify colored stones and diamonds using GIA techniques and metal testing.
• Inspect consigned luxury products for condition and materials.
• Use reference guides and historical data for evaluation.
• Research fair market value and market demand of branded/unbranded jewelry.
• Set list prices with guidance and approvals.
• Enter product information (measurements, fabrication) accurately.
• Support pricing using standard TRR methodology and tools.
• Meet daily production targets and assist process improvements.
