Selby Jennings seeks an Investment Analyst / Senior Investment Analyst to join a long/short equity team focused on the Financials sector. The Portfolio Manager mentors the successful candidate, who will conduct idea generation, company analysis, and financial modeling from day one.

The role offers significant responsibility with direct exposure to investment decisions and extensive research capabilities within a well-capitalized platform.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of equity research or investing experience.
• Experience in Financials, Capital Markets, Asset Managers, or Exchanges.
• Buy-side experience preferred.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct deep fundamental research on publicly traded financial companies.
• Build and maintain financial models, earnings forecasts, valuation frameworks, and investment theses.
• Generate actionable long and short investment ideas through primary and secondary research.
• Analyze industry trends, regulatory developments, capital flows, and broader market drivers.
• Monitor portfolio holdings, earnings releases, investor presentations, regulatory filings, and industry news.
• Engage with company management teams, industry experts, investors, and sell-side research professionals.
• Prepare investment memos and present recommendations directly to the Portfolio Manager.
• Work closely with risk management and trading teams to monitor positions and portfolio exposures.
