Job summary

The Missouri Department of Transportation in Lee's Summit is seeking a Senior Financial Services Technician to deliver advanced administrative support across accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and asset tracking. You will handle standard issues with independence under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least two years in financial services, accounting, or benefits roles; occasional statewide travel may be required; MoDOT offers a strong benefits package

• Two years of technical financial services experience in accounting, business, or benefits positions.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and processes documents such as expense vouchers, invoices, purchase orders and similar documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding of financial transactions
• Reviews and processes payments by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization for payment according to established procedures
• Receives, investigates, processes, and maintains database records for property damage reimbursements
• Conducts physical inventories of consumable and capital/fixed assets, and processes necessary documentation and monitoring of these records
• Secures financial information and maintains financial historical records by creating and/or maintaining electronic files and accounting documents
