Job summary

Truist in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an experienced accounting leader to direct and manage junior staff in accounting and financial reporting. You will ensure timely preparation, review and distribution of reports to the Truist Board and major regulatory bodies, applying GAAP and strong controls across the finance function.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 5 years of relevant experience, and exceptional analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of relevant accounting or accounting policy experience.
• Understanding of GAAP and SEC/Regulatory Reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with others in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage junior staff in accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Prepare, review, and distribute internal and external financial reports for the Board, SEC, FDIC, and FRB.
• Collaborate across the Finance division to ensure integrity of the financials and sound controls.
• Coordinate with internal and external audits and examinations.
• Support risk management governance and business continuity planning as necessary.
