Job summary

Cypress Creek Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Washington, DC. This hands-on role blends external financial reporting, technical accounting research, and Workiva platform management to ensure accurate disclosures across the organization.

You will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager and have opportunities to grow as the team expands. The position supports policy development, internal controls, and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; MS in Accounting and/or CPA preferred
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience
• Experience with Workiva (report building, templates, platform administration)
• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system preferred
• Experience documenting accounting positions under U.S. GAAP for complex transactions
• Experience with multi-tier consolidations and GAAP footnotes
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead and support external financial reporting for quarterly and annual statements
• Prepare GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and schedules
• Develop templates for annual reports and year-end disclosures
• Coordinate with auditors for audited statements
• Assist monthly financial analysis and variance explanations
