Job summary

Cypress Creek Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This hands-on role blends external financial reporting with technical accounting research and Workiva platform management, supporting timely disclosures across our entity structure.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in accounting/financial reporting, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with Workiva and ERP systems like NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; MS in Accounting and/or CPA preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting
• Experience with Workiva, including report building or platform administration
• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system preferred
• Experience documenting accounting positions under U.S. GAAP for complex transactions
• Experience drafting GAAP financial statement footnotes and multi-tier consolidations
• Experience in energy sector or solar is a plus
• Strong Excel skills and ability to learn new software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead and support external financial reporting for project-level entities and corporate parents
• Prepare GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and schedules in a multi-tier consolidation
• Develop and maintain templates for annual financial reports and disclosures
• Coordinate with auditors for audit support across multiple statements
• Participate in monthly financial analysis and variance explanations
• Manage Workiva platform as administrator and power user
• Build and improve Workiva templates, data links, and review workflows
• Train and onboard staff on Workiva functionality
• Research technical accounting memos on complex topics
• Monitor new GAAP pronouncements and communicate impacts
• Support establishment of internal controls and accounting policies
