American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) seeks an experienced Senior Accounting Leader to manage financial reporting for ASHA and affiliates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will guide staff on standards, strengthen internal controls, and support grants management across federal and state programs.

You will lead asset accounting, IRS compliance, and contribute to audits while promoting financial stewardship aligned with ASHA’s mission.

Qualificações

• 5–7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the preparation, analysis and interpretation of financial reporting for ASHA and affiliates.
• Provide strategic training and technical support to Finance staff on accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, automation, and internal controls.
• Oversee grants management and compliance across federal, state, and grantor regulations.
• Maintain continuity of financial reporting operations and technical expertise.
• Lead fixed asset and lease accounting ensuring US GAAP and IRS Form 990T compliance.
• Support annual audit and evaluate accounting policies and controls for efficiency.
• Oversee accounting and compliance activities supporting FEC reporting.
