The AES Corporation is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Financial Reporting team. In this role, you will support the preparation and analysis of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field.
• Strong interest in learning and developing expertise in financial reporting and SEC reporting.
• Curious, proactive, and motivated to learn and take on increasing responsibilities.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze financial information.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and close activities, including financial statements, cash flow statements, reporting packages, and related analyses.
• Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
• Prepare financial analyses and supporting documentation and assist with researching and evaluating accounting and reporting matters.
• Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by coordinating information and documentation with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with financial reporting controls and SOX compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with accounting and business teams to gather, analyze, and validate financial information used in external reporting and disclosures.
• Support regulatory and other external reporting requirements, as applicable.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.
