Job summary

AES in Indianapolis is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Financial Reporting team. You will contribute to preparing and analyzing financial statements and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements, partnering with internal teams and external auditors.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting, reporting, and regulatory matters across AES’s businesses, with opportunities to deepen technical accounting expertise and strengthen cross-functional

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
Knowledge of financial reporting principles, including US GAAP.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication, with cross-team collaboration.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with trial balances and reporting packages.
Coordinate with external auditors during reviews and audits of AES consolidated statements.
Prepare and coordinate SEC filings and disclosure requirements as needed.
Develop and improve financial reporting procedures, metrics, and processes.
Maintain documentation standards and share best practices across the team.
Build relationships with stakeholders to deepen operational accounting knowledge.
Monitor SEC developments and industry guidance for potential impact on AES.
Assist with pre-close activities and SOX control documentation.
