NV Energy, located in Reno, NV, is seeking a qualified accounting professional to support the preparation and filing of SEC, FERC and other external financial reports. You will perform technical research on GAAP, prepare white papers, and assist with the monthly financial close while ensuring timeliness and accuracy in reporting to Corporate Headquarters.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field plus relevant experience and knowledge of GAAP.

Responsabilidades

• Supports preparation and filing of reports with SEC, FERC and external financial reporting.
• Prepares financial reports or schedules for external reporting.
• Analyzes and reviews financial information for external reporting.
• Oversees preparation timelines for external reports.
• Compiles and reviews SEC reports including XBRL tagging.
• Ensures consistency and accuracy of subsidiary financial statements with Corporate Headquarters filings.
• Reviews and approves internal financial information for external reporting.
• Keeps up with SEC, FERC and US GAAP requirements; prepares technical white papers as needed.
• Supports monthly financial close and ensures timelines are met.
• Performs journal entries and reconciliations; assists with process improvements.
