Job summary

Veralto is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst in Waltham, MA, offering a hybrid work arrangement. You will play a key role in global lease accounting, external financial reporting, and continuous process improvements within a collaborative Corporate Finance team.

You will manage Lucernex lease accounting, provide US GAAP guidance, assist SEC filings, and help advance automation and controls. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of accounting experience and a Bachelors in Accounting/Finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required.
  • 2–4 years of accounting/financial reporting experience, preferably in public accounting or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 842 lease accounting, and SEC reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary administrator of Lucernex lease accounting platform, ensuring accurate global lease data and calculations.
  • Research and provide guidance on complex technical accounting matters to ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Assist in drafting footnote disclosures and MD&A for SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K).
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and leverage technology for improved reporting accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.

As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst at Veralto, you'll join a collaborative Corporate Finance team in a highly visible role that blends global lease accounting, external financial reporting, and process improvement. This role plays an important part in centrally managing lease accounting across Veralto's operating companies, helping ensure accuracy, consistency, and strong partnership with local finance teams around the world. You'll serve as a key point of contact for lease accounting guidance, support work within Lucernex, and contribute to SEC reporting activities for a global public company. This is a great fit for someone who is ambitious, tech-savvy, and excited to keep learning. This position will be located in Waltham, MA and will be hybrid.

In this role, a typical day will look like:
  • Lease Accounting (Lucernex): Serve as the primary administrator of the Lucernex lease accounting platform, overseeing the accuracy, completeness, and ongoing maintenance of global lease data leveraging the Lucernex software. Manage and review lease accounting calculations, including lease liabilities, right-of-use (ROU) assets, lease expense, and amortization in accordance with ASC 842. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including accounting, finance, real estate, legal, and operating company teams to ensure lease-related financial information is complete and accurate. Provide accounting guidance and consultation to Veralto operating companies on lease accounting transactions and the application of ASC 842.
  • Technical Accounting: Research, analyze, and provide guidance and support on complex technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other applicable accounting standards. Evaluate the accounting implications and disclosure requirements for significant and non-routine transactions, including revenue recognition, business combinations, divestitures, and other strategic initiatives.
  • SEC Reporting Support: Support the preparation and review of quarterly, annual and other required SEC filings, including but not limited to 10-Qs, 10-Ks and 8-Ks, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Assist in the drafting of footnote disclosures, MD&A, and other financial reporting requirements.
  • Process Enhancement & Innovation: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and innovate through technology to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Participate in the implementation of system enhancements or upgrades related to lease accounting and financial reporting.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements related to lease accounting, technical accounting, and SEC reporting. Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
