Job summary

CMC Recruiting is helping a San Antonio wealth management firm hiring an experienced Financial Planner. This role focuses on building comprehensive financial plans, solving client needs, and managing relationships without business development duties.

The position offers a base salary of $175,000 plus uncapped AUM-based compensation and comprehensive benefits, with potential to grow as client responsibility expands. Must be able to work full-time in the San Antonio office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of meaningful financial planning or wealth management experience preferred.
• Hands on experience personally building and working through comprehensive financial plans.
• Strong technical understanding of financial planning concepts and strategies.
• Ability to analyze financial situations independently and develop well reasoned recommendations.
• Understanding of tax considerations and how taxes can affect broader financial planning decisions.
• Strong client relationship and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and confidently.
• Exceptional attention to detail and willingness to work through highly detailed planning issues.
• Genuine passion for financial planning and helping clients make thoughtful financial decisions.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a highly collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop relationships with assigned clients.
• Build, maintain, and update comprehensive financial plans.
• Analyze complex financial situations and develop customized recommendations.
• Evaluate major financial decisions and long-term planning implications.
• Consider tax, retirement, investment, estate and insurance in planning.
• Coordinate with investment, tax, planning, and client service teams to implement recommendations.
• Monitor plans and identify opportunities, risks, and changes.
• Maintain detailed client information and planning documentation.
