Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a Senior Financial Operations Analyst in Secaucus, NJ to support the monthly close, validate journal entries, and strengthen financial controls across the organization. You will collaborate with finance, accounting, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant finance or data analysis experience, strong Excel skills, and an understanding of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance or data analysis.
• Experience reviewing and approving financial transactions and supporting documentation.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve monthly journal entries prepared by finance and operational teams to ensure accuracy, completeness.
• Validate supporting documentation for journal entries and investigate unusual transactions or account fluctuations.
• Ensure proper account coding, accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments are recorded accurately.
• Partner with accounting teams to resolve discrepancies identified during the month-end close process.
• Monitor close calendars and help ensure timely completion of all close-related activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and financial analyses.
• Identify control gaps and recommend process enhancements.
• Collaborate with business, accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate financial transactions.
• Support system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives within Finance Operations.
• Develop and maintain documentation of key accounting and operational processes.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.

About The Role

The Senior Financial Operations Analyst will be a role at operation side and be responsible for supporting the monthly financial close process, reviewing and validating journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and strengthening financial controls across the organization. The analyst will possess knowledge of finance, experience in financial relevant operations, month-end close activities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What You Will Do

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or above in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, business management or a related field required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in the finance or data analysis field.
• Experience reviewing and approving financial transactions and supporting documentation.
• Advanced PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, financial accrual, reconciliations, and month-end close processes is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP, Python, Jira, and Tableau Prep is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $66,375 and $90,000 annually. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education, and/or certifications. Base salary is just one component of ZT Systems total rewards philosophy.
