Job summary

Chenega MIOS, based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Financial Management/Budget Specialist III to support AFRCO and SAF/AQL with PPBE, cost estimation, and program funding analyses. The role requires SAP or equivalent experience, active TS/SCI clearance, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

The position emphasizes compliance with DoD and Air Force acquisition policy, staff support, and data-driven cost analyses. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; 4+ additional years of experience may be used instead of a degree, with customer approval
• 15+ years of experience; higher education or certifications may substitue per customer approval
• Special Access Program (SAP) experience; similar programs may substitute per customer approval
• Active TS/SCI clearance required

Responsibilities

• Manage PPBE (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution) process
• Provide staff support
• Analyze program funding for all PPBE phases
• Research and analyze funding trends from EVMS and similar data
• Develop cost-estimating models and independent government cost estimates
• Perform cost/benefit and economic analyses as required
• Apply finance expertise to requirements generation and program life cycle costs
• Mentor and review work of junior staff and lead projects
• Other duties as assigned
