MSIG USA is seeking a Financial Lines Claims Counsel to manage high-exposure and complex Financial Lines claims, including D&O, E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Fidelity lines. The role emphasizes autonomy, strategic claim resolution, and collaboration with underwriting, actuary, and senior leadership to drive portfolio performance.

The position offers visibility and opportunities to influence claim outcomes while contributing to the growth of MSIG USA's Financial Lines practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction in good standing.
• 7+ years of experience handling Financial Lines claims, coverage litigation, or complex commercial litigation.
• Strong knowledge of D&O, Financial Institutions E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Fidelity coverages.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of complex Financial Lines claims from initial notice through resolution.
• Analyze coverage, liability, damages, and exposure issues; establish reserves and provide claim assessments.
• Draft coverage position letters and reservation of rights letters.
• Evaluate high-severity matters including securities litigation and class actions.
• Develop strategic claim resolution plans and negotiate settlements within authority.
