Kirkland & Ellis seeks a Senior Financial Data Analyst in Chicago to support the Finance Data & Analytics team. You will craft analysis-ready models, deliver executive reporting, and partner with senior leaders to clarify financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or comparable experience.
• 6+ years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience; law firm/professional services is a plus.
• Strong SQL querying skills with complex queries and relational database concepts.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret complex data and relate findings to business objectives.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work with stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support initiatives using financial modeling, data mining, and analysis for firm and client reporting.
• Transform transactional data into fact-and-dimension models for analysis.
• Design and enhance Power BI models, reports, and DAX solutions.
• Collaborate with senior management and partners to align data strategies with goals.
• Use SQL and related tools to extract, validate, and present information.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and insights for decisions.
• Contribute to process improvements and data-driven initiatives.
• Prepare timely reporting for committees, CFO, and senior leaders.
• Stay current with Power BI developments and cross-team data usage.
