Job summary

Heidelberg, based in Georgia, seeks a hands-on Business Controller to oversee accounting, budgeting, and cost-center reviews for assigned product areas. The role emphasizes profitability discussions with business drivers and maintaining month-end timelines.

You will perform month-end closings, rolling forecasts, variance analyses, and provide profitability reports to stakeholders. A Bachelor's in Finance or related field is required; MBA is a plus; 7–10 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
• MBA or equivalent advanced financial education preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial controlling and FP&A.
• Experience leading discussions with business drivers and audits.

Responsibilities

• Month-end closing activities including accruals, calculation of journal entries, deferrals
• Perform product area analysis including variance explanations and recommend corrective actions
• Calculate and maintain monthly rolling forecast of revenues, margins, and costs
• Provide monthly profitability reports to business drivers prior to month-end close
• Support department needs to update financial reports with latest actual results and balance sheet reporting
• Crosstrain on department tasks for knowledge share, backup support, and departmental success
• Work with product teams and business drivers to discuss business concepts for fluid discussions
• Provide support for interim and annual audit process with external auditors
• Provide support for weekly payment cycle approvals
