Job summary

Optum is hiring for a full-time finance/FP&A role in Eden Prairie, MN. The position focuses on tracking and reporting FTE data, expenses, and technology costs while partnering with the Chief Data Office to support forecasting and budgeting.

The role requires strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, analytical attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance partners. Overtime may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Analytical skills with solid attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both finance and non finance partners.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.
• Must reside within commutable distance to 1 Optum Circle Eden Prairie, MN.
• Ability to work full time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and maintain accurate reporting of: FTE headcount, FTE related expenses (compensation, benefits, allocations), Vendor and third party technology costs.
• Partner closely with Chief Data Office leaders to support ongoing financial management and forecasting.
• Organize financial data into clear, structured views that enable storytelling and executive level insights for CIOs.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, summaries, and presentations for leadership reviews.
• Support month end, forecast, and budget activities related to technology and workforce spend.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across multiple financial sources and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with peers across finance, technology, and operations to resolve data questions and drive shared understanding.

This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be 8:00am - 5:00pm CST. Monday - Friday.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
