Responsibilities

• Understand business goals and objectives to help advise executives on appropriate solution.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitors, and industry changes to help drive solution strategy.
• Understand cost structure across multiple business units in order to incorporate into a single Optum view.
• Utilize cost structure knowledge to create and maintain complex financial models and communicate results to executives.
• Lead ad-hoc projects as needed.

This position is National Remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.

This role will work across various teams and provide strategic guidance to organizational leaders through financial modeling to win large and complex deals for Optum. Success in this role will be dependent on your ability to navigate a large matric organization, influence leadership in order to affect change, and be able to clearly articulate business issues and recommended solutions. This is a fast-paced and high-growth environment with ever changing priorities that has a long-term commitment to making health care better for everyone.

This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST or EST time zone. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, OR related field
• 3+ years of progressive professional experience in Finance and / OR Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in analyzing and responding to RFP's
• Financial modeling and analysis experience
• Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with presenting to executives

Preferred Qualifications

• Federal pricing experience
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation and Cost Account Standards principles
• Analytical skills with experience working with complex data sets

• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
