A leading company seeks a Senior Financial Auditor to conduct on-site financial reviews and operational audits. Inside the Role
Daimler Truck Financial Services is the captive financial services provider for Daimler Truck North America. Senior Financial Auditors perform on-site financial reviews and operational reviews of dealerships and fleet customers for Daimler Truck Financial Services (DTF) in order to provide an independent, unbiased evaluation of the audit subject's balance sheet and overall operations for lending purposes. The audits are conducted to determine the integrity of the borrower's financial reporting, the effectiveness of policies and procedures, and the security of DTF's collateral interest. Provide feedback of potential problem areas, such as internal control weaknesses, undercapitalization, and inaccurate financial statements.Posting Information

What You Drive at DTFS:
Lead and perform Limited Financial Reviews (LFR), Financial Review and Analysis (FRA), and Bank Cutoff (BCO) financial audits of dealerships and fleet trucking customers’ balance sheets in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with emphasis on working capital, net worth, and net cash and vehicle equity items. Evaluate accuracy of accounting entries and adequacy of internal controls systems, operating policies, and procedures.
Perform Pledge and Lease Line Audits compliance audits of DTF customers to evaluate adequacy of internal control systems, operating policies, procedures, and compliance with DTF loan requirements.
Prepare audit reports detailing relevant audit findings and present to internal credit management as well as dealership/fleet management.
Support quality assurance by conducting peer reviews of colleagues audit work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Schedule and coordinate the audit with the borrower(s) and assigned wholesale inventory auditor(s), when applicable. Prepare engagement letters to be sent to the dealers or fleet customers.
Conduct training and participate in projects and other duties as required.
Travel Requirement: 75% / International Responsibilities: This position occasionally performs audits in Canada and Mexico.International travel is less than 5%
Knowledge You Should Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years professional work experience
Candidate should have a thorough understanding of accounting principles, especially GAAP
1+ year of Accounting or Financial Audit experience
Ability to collect data and establish facts and identify trends and variances
Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources with varied levels of complexity
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively across diverse audiences

Requires valid passport
Must reside near a major airport.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have:
