Amazon, a leading global ecommerce company, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for the US Hardlines Finance organization in Seattle. You will partner with cross-functional teams to perform analysis, develop forecasts, and deliver insights that influence senior leadership decisions.

The role focuses on controllership and scalable reporting framework development. Responsibilities include ownership of P&L analysis, financial planning processes, and presenting results with clear data storytelling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
• Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field.
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership – analysis of the financial outputs and translating them into insights.
• Drive core financial processes for the Everyday Essentials business including OPA, long-range Strategic Plan and weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews.
• Present business results and statistical analysis to senior management for decision making.
• Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc data analysis, and financial modeling using Excel, SQL, and Cognos.
• Build financial models, interpret data, and make recommendations that deliver results and influence leaders.
• Design scalable solutions that automate reporting of key performance metrics and analysis.
• Create effective business partnerships and manage competing priorities during unexpected events.
• Communicate data clearly to various audiences and tailor style accordingly.
