Job summary

American Electric Power Co. is seeking a Financial Analyst Sr Staff to lead the development of dynamic financial forecasts and ad hoc analyses of strategic opportunities.

The role collaborates with operating company personnel and business segments to refine assumptions and improve forecasting. You will mentor staff, prepare reports for executive management and the Board, and evaluate corporate opportunities including acquisitions and divestitures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering.
• 10+ years of work experience including managerial experience.
• MBA, CFA, CPA, CMA, CIA, PE, CFP or other professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of dynamic financial forecasts and ad hoc analyses.
• Review variance reporting and forecast accuracy to improve future planning.
• Develop and manage staff; provide mentorship and guidance.
