Job summary

Sphera is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Chicago to drive forecasting, planning, and reporting for our services and consulting business. You will maintain and improve BI infrastructure, produce monthly KPI dashboards, and deliver accurate financial commentary for senior leadership and the board.

You will build financial models, support annual budgeting, monitor results against plans, and participate in strategic analyses including potential acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2–4 years in public accounting (Big 4) or 3–5 years as a financial analyst; Alteryx and PowerBI fluency required.
• Advanced Excel modeling and intermediate PowerPoint skills; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for data & analytics in Finance, maintaining Alteryx workflows and PowerBI reports.
• Prepare financial and operational KPIs including bookings, pipeline, win rates, and ASP; identify opportunities to improve results.
• Assist in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting for Services/Consulting; analyze results vs budgets and re-forecast projections.
• Build financial models for recurring forecasting, annual budgeting, and pro-forma scenarios for growth opportunities.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly executive/board presentation preparations.
• Assist with M&A activities such as post-acquisition data and systems integration.
• Conduct ad-hoc deep dives on business issues and opportunities.
