Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage cost control, accounting, and financial analysis for the Regulated & Renewable Energy Midwest organization. The role supports O&M and capital spend around $400M, performing reporting and variance analysis and collaborating with leaders across the RRE team.

The position requires strong budgeting, GAAP knowledge, and advanced reporting skills with tools like Power BI and Hyperion/One Stream planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar discipline with related experience.
• 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance/accounting.
• CPA/CFA/CMA/CIS is desirable or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day cost management, accounting and financial analysis support for O&M and capital spend.
• Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial reporting and variances.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes and ensure alignment with strategic plans.
• Support SOX controls and regulatory filings; assist external/internal audits.
• Coordinate with project teams on data testing, reporting solutions and data integrity.
