Job summary

AVANGRID POWER, LLC located in Boston, MA seeks an experienced finance professional to lead financial planning, forecasting, and TEI-related accounting for renewables investments. You will develop and maintain complex financial models, analyze forecast variances, and ensure compliance with GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, STEM, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in industry or public accounting or demonstrated ability to perform the required tasks based on previous levels of responsibility.
• Strong financial modeling skills of financial statements including income statement, cash flow statement and balance sheet.
• Familiarity with GAAP.
• Knowledge of financial metrics principles, and valuation methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others as well as operate with a minimum of supervision.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with many departments.
• Confidence to challenge/question where appropriate.
• Sound organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quarterly forecast vs actual analysis for all TEI entities – explain variances of HLBV results.
• Manage TEI related accounting matters for all TEI projects – set up processes, lead weekly meetings, finalise HLBV and debt models, perform TEI controls.
• Prepare the financial statement modeling work – maintain HLBV, debt models and templates.
• Review investment models for accuracy, compliance with company policies, profitability targets.
• Develop and maintain complex models for strategic planning, budgeting and long-term forecasting.
• Analyze tax law and accounting policy changes and present findings.
• Participate in special projects related to Avangrid renewables objectives.
