Qualifikationen

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, and/or financial reporting
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting information to non-financial audiences
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, including researching and resolving discrepancies
• Experience using accounting or financial system software.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word

Aufgaben

• Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports
• Prepare and analyze the annual and ad-hoc bond segment financial statements. Play a lead role in annual bond audit
• Assist in the year-end closing of accounts and preparation of consolidated University of Iowa audited financial report
• Develop financial reports from lead sheets and other sources to complete audit schedules, financial report footnotes and management discussion and analysis
• Conduct variance analysis of financial information
