Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a seasoned financial analyst to turn Epic data into actionable insights supporting financial, reimbursement, and operational decisions. You will develop financial models, analyze contract rates, and collaborate across stakeholders to advance organizational goals at our Los Angeles campus.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration and have 5+ years in accounting/finance, with healthcare and EDW experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience.
• Health Care industry preferred.
• Experience analyzing contract rates, reimbursement methodologies, and risk arrangements to support financial evaluation and decision-making.
• Experience working with Epic data, including Clarity data model and revenue cycle-related data.
• Familiarity with EDW environments and data dictionaries, including methods for identifying relevant tables and fields.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex financial analysis and develops financial models to support reimbursement strategies and business decision-making.
• Collects, organizes, analyzes, and visualizes financial, reimbursement, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Uses advanced analysis including data mining, statistics, and reporting to generate insights and recommendations.
• Identifies and recommends improvements to data quality, reporting processes, and analytical tools.
• Ensures accuracy and integrity of data used in financial models, dashboards, and reports.
• Partners with stakeholders to gather information, validate assumptions, and prepare analyses and presentations for leadership.
• Demonstrates critical thinking to evaluate complex information, challenge assumptions, and develop well-supported conclusions.
• Performs other duties and special projects.
