Senior Financial Analyst - Operations / Cost Accountant (Finance)

Sr. Financial Analyst - Operations/Cost Accountant

Location: Holton, KS

Position Overview:

As the Sr. Financial Analyst - Operations/Cost Accountant at our Holton, Kansas facility, you'll collaborate closely with our leadership teams in Holton, KS, and Watertown, WI. Our teams focus on member development, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement. We're seeking someone with product costing expertise and leadership skills to identify financial opportunities and lead improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Build relationships with all plant levels, including leadership, team leaders, and operations members.
2. Promote the Johnsonville Way by involving everyone to meet business goals; serve as a role model and coach.
3. Transform data into insights; explain the facts, drivers, trends, and actionable next steps.
4. Create clear dashboards and communicate numbers effectively, relating them to understandable themes.
5. Assist with forecasting and annual budgeting for the Holton and Watertown plants, ensuring streamlined processes aligned with company standards.
6. Support facility cost savings initiatives to meet current and future expectations.
7. Partner with the Multi-Site Plant Controller to evaluate new business opportunities, capital projects, and productivity improvements.
8. Identify best practices and collaborate on their implementation across the network.
9. Develop procedures and controls for accurate product costing and inventory management.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CMA certification is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years in cost accounting and analytics.
• Experience in manufacturing, food, or CPG environments preferred.
• Experience creating operational reports and guiding teams in financial data usage.
• Leadership experience is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent communication skills to simplify financial information.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SAP experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends and develop action plans.

Additional Details:

Member Status: Full Time, Salaried

Travel: Less than 10%
