Job summary

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team. The analyst will monitor financial data, prepare analyses, and support budgets and grant proposals within a dynamic clinical research environment.

You will collaborate with principal investigators and staff to develop forecasts, ensure compliance with university policies, and produce timely payroll and financial reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Three years of accounting experience.
• Experience with budget analysis and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports.
• Prepare financial/statistical analysis reports.
• Perform budget analysis to ensure adherence to policies and assist in the development of budgetary forecasts.
• Prepare and assist in budget-related analysis, estimates and financial reports.
• Conduct financial feasibility studies on new programs using financial modeling systems and statistical programs.
• Apply university financial policies to transactions and provide guidance on policy application.
• Prepare, review, and submit monthly compensation reports and payroll documentation.
• Collaborate with principal investigators, research staff, and departmental leadership to create budget projections and financial plans for grants and clinical trials.
• Perform related duties as needed.
