Job summary

Banner Life Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our US Cost Control Team in Frederick, MD on a hybrid basis. This role coordinates budgets, reforecasts, and expense analyses, delivering insights to guide P&L decisions and financial planning.

The successful candidate will design dashboards, automate reporting, and support annual expense planning with strong expertise in PowerBI, SQL, and Excel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in finance, BI, accounting, actuarial, or strategy.
• 2+ years in financial planning and budgeting.
• Experience in life insurance industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain financial dashboards in PowerBI to monitor expense performance.
• Automate and streamline reporting using PowerBI, Excel, and PowerApp.
• Perform variance analysis between plan, actuals and reforecasts.
• Assist in expense planning, forecasting, and headcount monitoring.
• Prepare monthly management information and board decks.
• Support cost center allocations and IFRS 17 reporting.
• Seek opportunities for operational improvements.
