Job summary

Workday in Pleasanton is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Professional Services FP&A team. The role supports monthly/quarterly close, forecast activities, and P&L analysis.

You will partner with finance, professional services, and operations to forecast metrics, communicate variances, and drive automation and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5+ years related Finance experience.
• Experience with full P&L modeling including top line analysis and capacity modeling is a plus.
• Knowledge of Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build effective partnerships across the Professional Services & Field Sales business units.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L and high-level financial package.
• Communicate variances to plan/budget to key stakeholders and collaborate across accounting, professional services, and operations teams.
• Combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to highlight business risks and opportunities and support long-term growth.
• Partner with business to accurately forecast metrics for Professional Services and Field Sales, including revenue projections and capacity expectations.
• Prepare, interpret, and communicate financial reporting, analysis, and ad-hoc reporting to business partners within Workday.
• Become acquainted with business processes and highlight opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Support and manage ad hoc projects.
